Izmir Marinas Project

Preparations are underway for the construction of Bayrakli (Turan), Yeni Foca, Urla Cesme, Sakran and Cesme Sifne marinas planned to develop the tourism sector in Izmir.
To serve yacht tourism, five marinas are planned to be built in Izmir: Yeni Foca Marina (with a capacity of 280 yachts), Cesmeal Marina (with a capacity of 330 yachts), Sifne Marina (with a capacity of 700 yachts), Sakran Marina (with a capacity of 550 yachts) and Bayrakli Marina (with a capacity of 500 yachts).
The largest capacity in the marinas belongs to the port of Sifne, which will be built in Cesme with 700 yachts. In second place is Turan Marina in Bayrakli with a capacity of 500 yachts. With the implementation of the Sifne marina, which will be the 4th marina of Cesme, the yacht capacity in this district alone will reach 1,687.
Officials see this project as proof that Izmir will develop further in terms of yacht tourism. With this project, the low season in tourism can be turned into an advantage and made ready for tourism for the coming years.
Among these marina projects, Sifne and Bayrakli Marina projects stand out and are expected to be tendered to be realized with the Build-Operate-Transfer model soon. Investors will be interested in both projects if adequate promotion is made due to its geographical location and basic features.
